Whew! I've been so busy with church and my cats that I haven't had time to update my LiveJournal! I've been busy good though, so it has been worth it. Now I would like to get more active within fandom. Maybe take on a fiction challenge!

I thought it would be a good idea to talk a little bit about myself so you all could get to know me.

My username comes from my current favorite TV program and my favorite passage in the bible.

Battlestar Galactica is the show, and if you can guess ;D I am a Adama and Roslin romantic. Therefore I chose "Fleet Mom" as the first part of my name.

The second part comes from Ecclesiastes 6:9

"Better is the sight of the eyes than the wandering of the desire: this is also vanity and vexation of spirit."

Wow. So touching and so the heart of me.

Another part of my life is my 12 cats. I named them after the Twelve Colonies of Kobol. I've been adopting them since the mini series aired. You can see three of my precious babies-- Virgo is on one of my userpics, Leo is as well, and Libra is on one of my colorbars. Aren't they just sweethearts? Leo does look angry, but he's just a furball of love. Minus the fur.

Before I sign off, I have to send my love to Edward James Olmos, the stud muffin. He makes me think of things Jesus wouldn't approve of.  RAWR. We all need a little Edward James Olmos in our day.
